At Ferrovial Agroman UK and Ireland, our main concern as a business, as constructors and engineers, and above all as human beings is to ensure that every single one of us gets home safely every day.
Our Behavioural Safety Programme LIFE is a holistic approach to implementing Health & Safety best practice throughout our business - not only at work, but also at home.
The training and awareness campaigns that are delivered to all employees and subcontractors as well as the innovative approaches to managing our sites ensure that our Health & Safety record is one to be proud of.
Nevertheless, this does not mean that we believe our work in this area is complete. Looking for an Incident Free Environment (LIFE) to us means that we are constantly designing fresh and innovative ways to train and remind our employees of best practice and where any decision affecting production, cost and time has to be taken within the context of safety, which is a non-negotiable value.
Ferrovial Agroman UK and Ireland works on the basis of a Safety Management System, which is accredited to OHSAS 18001 standard relating to managing Health and Safety, as expressed in our policy.
All Ferrovial Agroman UK and Ireland sites conduct detailed risk assessments and implement suitable preventive measures as per our legal obligation. We provide the resources needed for each situation and make sure that our Risk Management System is properly followed and monitored. The ongoing improvement brought about by this process has led to our achieving a lower accident rate than the construction industry average.
